Data Directorate provide a full range of end-to-end data services, with data products output to users across DfE, the wider educational sector, cross government and citizens. The Data Capture & Ingestion within Data Directorate, where this role will sit, delivers key services in data management, data platforms, data modelling, operational MI and testing and quality.

You will work with user researchers, product managers, designers, business analysts, delivery managers and content specialists as part of a multi-disciplinary team to directly deliver better outcomes for users. You will innovate to radically transform how public services are delivered and improved.

Job description

As a Junior Software Developer, you will be working alongside with a team of experienced developers to develop web, mobile and desktop products using both front-end web development languages and back-end technologies to innovate and radically transform how public services are delivered and improved. You will be expected to deliver code in line with project goals and delivery cycles, while working openly and collaboratively in our team of Digital and Data Professionals.
