Lead Python Developer

Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

As a Lead Python Developer, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our software solutions. You will lead a talented team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the entire software development lifecycle. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Python development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Python developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Design and Architecture: Architect and design robust and scalable Python-based solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python, ensuring code quality through code reviews and testing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and solve complex technical problems, making sound decisions that align with project goals.
  • Code Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for code optimization and performance improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Python Developer with expertise in Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
