Trejo’s Tacos is a smash hit fast casual restaurant brand from in California and it’s coming to the UK. Headed up by bas-ass movie superstar, Danny Trejo, we are opening the first restaurant site soon and looking to expand and grow rapidly. Capturing the dazzle of Hollywood glamour and blending it with the mouth-watering food and drinks that the chefs and team will be serving, we are looking for a lynchpin in communicating with our social followings and the wider public.
Job Description
We are looking for a super creative and talented Social Media Manager/Content Curator to support with an exciting new 3 – 6 month project working with one of California’s most exciting and legendary restaurant brands. The first phase will be focussed solely on building followings (new and existing audiences) and engagement levels across all social media platformsas part of pre-activation for a launch campaign. The role encompasses strategy and content plan design, implementation (scheduling and drafting posts… harnessing digital technology trends (TikTok, Reels, IGTV, etc) and providing ideas for content creation working alongside the PR Director. The role is part time (15 hours per week) working remotely on a freelance / consultancy basis.
What We Need:
- Design a high impact social media strategy that drives followings with existing fanbase and new audiences and maximises engagement levels
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with the social teams in the USA
- Include best practice guidelines (tips, specific platform advice, hashtags etc.)
- Establish a clear online voice via tailored copywriting that aligns to the talent’s audience and brand identity
- Work alongside PR Director to develop assets and content ideas for key social channels including Instagram and TikTok
- Identify and create new ways to enhance engagement and following on social channels
- Actively monitor and handle outreach across all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and others as needed
- Provide statistics and analytics on social performance
- Communicate with followers and respond to questions and comments in a timely manner
- Reporting on KPIs around engagement, growth, sentiment and performance – including spotting and reporting on key feedback themes
- Spotting good opportunities for paid media to boost high-performing organic posts
What You’ll Need:
- At least 2-3 years’ experience creating & developing social media content for omnichannel marketing campaigns, including written, photography, audio & video
- Ideally some experience working with high profile entertainment brands
- An excellent creative eye and brilliant copy writing skills
- Strong planning skills, with the ability to adapt content and plans depending on changes in business needs
- An in-depth understanding of organic social media platforms best practices
- Experience measuring brand awareness and ROI of content-driven campaigns
- Experience using community management and influencer marketing
- Proficient in Adobe tools, and social media management tools
- Brave, open and creative with a good sense of humour
- Flexible approach to working hours to ensure content creation is captured as needed and comments are responded to
