Job Description

FEIART Institute, part of the FEIART group, is seeking a part-time 2D Animation Instructor based in Vancouver, BC. This role will involve teaching the principles of 2D animation, including character design, storytelling, and post-production techniques. The instructor will manage classroom dynamics and help students improve their skills in 2D animation.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse students.
• Professional training as an animator and the ability to provide a demo reel.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 2D animation apps on IOS or Android, such as Procreate and FlipaClip.
• Experience with software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, and post-production techniques like compositing, sound design, and video editing.
• A degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, or related fields is a plus.
• Teaching experience, especially in 2D animation, is a plus.

Other Information

This is a part-time on-site role in Vancouver, BC. The target students’ age range is 8-15. FEIART Institute is part of the FEIART group of arts education organizations, providing art programs in the Greater Vancouver area.
