Job Description

We are looking for an experienced nightlife photographer to cover regular sessions at a prestigious Hinckley nightclub. The frequency of work is a minimum of 4x shoots per calendar month, with shifts typically lasting 2-3 hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 8:00 pm and 3:00 am. This is not a commission-based role, and there are no sales involved. Rates of pay range from £35.00 for a 1-hour minimum session to £110.00 for a 6-hour session, with higher rates for special events. The photographer must be able to generate a high shot-count, quickly edit and upload images to our website, and deliver them by 15:00 hrs the following day. Creative guidance and technical support are available upon request. This is a freelance (non-contract) position.

Requirements

  • Previous nightlife/club photography experience (samples required) - Essential
  • A high-end digital SLR with a dedicated external flash - Essential
  • Interchangeable lenses: (1) A standard “portrait”/zoom lens (2) A wide-angle lens - Essential
  • Access to a computer (for off-site editing) and a broadband connection (for upload) - Essential
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital editing software (PhotoShop or Lightroom) - Essential
  • Access to a motor vehicle - Preferable
  • Own public liability insurance (minimum of £3M cover) - Preferable
  • Confident, outgoing, reliable, and able to execute to a consistently high standard
  • Must be over 18 years of age and eligible to work in the UK (as you may be required to attend premises licensed to retail alcohol)
