Job Description:

The Senior Web Developer reports to the Manager and works closely with the Lead Web Developer. They will primarily work on the website redevelopment project and assist with the delivery and improvement of production services for various websites and web applications.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with React, TailwindCSS, Storybook, and Git
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Webpack and Vite projects
• Experience in Bootstrap, SCSS, Gulp, EJS, REST APIs, and node.js (preferred but not necessary)
• Experience with responsive design principles
• Experience with website accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)
• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams
• Experience with Squiz Matrix CMS (highly regarded)
• Experience working on agile website/digital projects within the Victorian Government (preferred but not necessary)
• User experience/design skills (preferred but not necessary)
• Website testing experience (preferred but not necessary)

Other Information:

Duties to be performed include the creation of functional website components and/or templates from visual designs, implementation into the content management system, peer reviewing, testing against web standards, and writing technical build documentation. Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and other scrum activities is required.
