Job Description

A small digital marketing team is seeking a Web Designer who specializes in WordPress and has knowledge of Shopify or similar platforms. The ideal candidate should be familiar with technical SEO and have a focus on delivering outstanding service and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate design concepts into functional websites
• Create custom WordPress websites using Oxygen Builder based on client specifications
• Customize existing WordPress themes/templates to meet client needs
• Manage design projects from concept to final hand-off
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices

Qualifications/Skills

• Proven experience as a web designer, specifically using Oxygen Builder for WordPress
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress development
• Knowledge of technical aspects of SEO
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach
• Ability to take a project from concept to launch
• Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles
• Familiarity/experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce builders (bonus)
• Familiarity with project management software (bonus)

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field

• Portfolio of strong creative work
• Experience with Adobe XD, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator
• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS

Work Hours & Benefits

The position offers flexibility as either full-time, part-time, or contract-for-hire. The work hours are negotiable within a typical ‘corporate’ framework, with core hours of Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm. The job provides a hybrid remote and in-office workspace.

• Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
