Job Description
This position will operate on a freelance basis. Must be located in or near Sterling, Virginia.
Valnet Inc. is looking for a Video Product and Photographer within driving distance of Sterling, Virginia for the website MakeUseOf.com. This individual will focus primarily on b-roll and 3 to 5 unboxing or first impressions videos per week (2 to 5 mins in length), as well as take photos of products on-site to accompany our written reviews. It is possible, that later, this individual will produce full video product reviews given they have the right experience for it (but this is not a requirement). All footage must be taken from our office in Sterling, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be able to take care of everything from the script to the editing, as well as being the face of the brand’s videos.

Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Reviews Director and Reviews Coordinator to identify products coming into the office that will benefit from a hands-on video
- Record unboxing and first impression videos on assigned products
- Edit unboxing and first impression videos
- Potentially record and edit the occasional full review of an assigned product
- Assist in the photography of incoming products on an as-needed basis

Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements
- Should own a professional camera
- Comfortable with being on screen
- Experience with video production
- Knowledge of tech products and reviewing experience
- Able to drive to the Sterling, Virginia office for shooting 5 times per week for 4-hour work periods
