Job Description

Bellwether Coffee is looking for a UI/UX Designer who is excited to work on projects that help revolutionize the coffee roasting industry. The candidate will be responsible for conducting user research, designing intuitive interfaces, and crafting exceptional user experiences for digital and hardware products.

Key Deliverables

• User Research: Conduct comprehensive user research to understand user needs and behaviors. Create user personas, conduct interviews, observe users on-site, and conduct usability tests.
• Onboarding Flows Design: Develop intuitive and engaging onboarding flows for hardware products and associated web applications. Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive models.
• Customer Journey Mapping: Create detailed customer journey maps to visualize user experience across touchpoints and optimize the journey for a self-service experience.
• Data-Driven UX Improvements: Utilize data analytics to drive design decisions. Analyze user interaction data, iterate designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Cross-Platform Consistency: Ensure cohesive user experience across hardware onboard software, web apps, and eCommerce platforms.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers and product managers to ensure design feasibility and integrate UI/UX best practices.
• Accessibility and Compliance: Design interfaces accessible to diverse users, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Visual Design: Craft visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines using color theory, typography, and layout principles.
• Documentation and Guideline Development: Develop and maintain design guidelines and documentation for consistency in future design implementations.

Requirements

• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Proven experience in UI/UX design, with bonus points for experience in human machine interfaces
• Expertise in user-centric design principles, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and translating user needs into compelling solutions
• Experience in user research methodologies and data analysis
• Passion for transforming user insights into beautiful and functional interactions
• Experience maintaining and expanding design systems
• Experience and tolerance for working with fast-paced, startup clients
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
