Job Description:

Yoh has an immediate need for a Part Time Full-Stack Web Developer. This position is 20 hours per week and a 1 year assignment. Needs to be local to San Francisco to be able to come to office on occasion. Pay up to $75 per hour w2 based on experience.

Position Overview: We’re looking for a skilled web developer to join our diverse and close-knit team of technical communicators and application developers. We’re passionate about creating engaging and inclusive content for our customers and need a proficient developer to support the team in creating useful and innovative tools, enabling the team to work more collaboratively and efficiently. Principal Responsibilities:

• Working as part of a team following Agile methodology to develop full-stack applications using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Designing and developing new features across our entire backend and frontend stack.
• Building and maintaining databases, APIs, and dynamic server-side content to support application functionality.
• Investigating bug reports and contributing to technical discussions to help improve application development.
• Contributing to the team’s monthly report and workgroup initiatives.
• Assisting in the creation and roll out of training and user guides for developed applications.
• Interfacing with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field of study.
• Highly skilled in web development: PHP, MySQL.
• Proficient in dynamic web technologies: CSS3, jQuery, AJAX, JSON.
• Confident in basic Linux and Apache command line.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing web applications.
• Excellent understanding of full-stack web technologies, specifically for LAMP servers.
• Experience of working with responsive design and grid frameworks.
• Good understanding of MVC frameworks and object-oriented coding principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable developing with APIs and integrating them into web applications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality code.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience of developing to specifications and working with remote stakeholders to deliver product requests.
• Experience using source control applications (Git, SVN).
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and design aesthetics.
• Experience working on localization projects.
