Job Description:

We are looking to hire a freelance Graphic Designer. This position will work closely with Sales and Marketing in the design and production of business development materials, presentations, marketing collateral, posters, and product packaging from concept to completion. This position serves an important function within the growth to this department and the organization.

Jonard Tools is looking for a highly talented and energetic Graphic Designer who will be responsible for the design and delivery of creative elements in both electronic and traditional media, from website, brochures, magazine ads to tradeshow graphics.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for bringing the Jonard Tools visual brand to life. The ideal candidate will understand the Jonard Tools brand and have a strong sense of style and highly defined understanding of how the functional and visual combine to create powerful marketing messaging.

Responsibilities:

• Implement industry best practices to ensure communications, promotions, and literature meet the needs of the business and adhere to established company branding guidelines
• Assumes ownership of projects through from initial concept to completion
• Responsible for the accurate and detailed presentation and communication of all information
• Able to work on multiple projects, managing time, and prioritizes effectively to meet deadlines
• The ability to proactively communicate status; on-time
• Creates new concepts for graphics and promotional communication collateral
• Handles jobs requiring Web proficiency including page design and changes to existing content
• Art directs digital photography
• Handles custom projects including coordination, preparation of files, and evaluation of proofs and print
• Reviews printer proofs and press approvals

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years B2B, B2C, or Agency experience working as a graphic designer
• Bachelor’s degree required in Graphic Design or related field
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Experience with Web design is a plus
• Proficient use of MS Office (necessary for day-to-day projects)
• Social media experience preferred but not required
• Advanced knowledge of production, photography, proofreading, and photo retouching
• Advanced understanding of branding in a B2B environment
• Superior attention to detail
• Maintains a positive attitude and provides superior customer support
• A mastery of project management and communications skills
• Strong communications skills to effectively “pitch” creative concepts
• A portfolio is required - traditional print through digital (within various channels preferred)
