Job Description
This role is based inside HMP Isis, one of the UK Prisons. The job involves running a workshop 3 days per week with a group of prisoners, focusing on writing, learning, and developing through music. The goal is rehabilitation through the power of music. As an A&R Rep / Tutor, you will be responsible for carrying out daily workshops, teaching prisoners about the music industry, nurturing talent, and encouraging the learning of musical instruments. The workshops are personalized to meet everyone’s needs, and weekly reporting is essential for tracking participants’ progress.
Requirements
- Must be able to play an instrument and be open to teaching others
- Basic knowledge around the music industry
- Experience with recording software like Logic Pro X or knowledge around the recording process
- Experience working with a diverse group of people (desirable)
- Strong communication, accountability, and adaptability skills
- Full UK Driving License (desirable)
