Job Description

As a Content Designer, you will work within a multi-disciplinary digital product team to design new products and services that help users achieve their goals. Your responsibilities include advocating for effective content design, improving engagement and value from digital products, designing content to meet user needs, supporting improved accessibility, engaging with the content community, and interpreting user research to create clear and unambiguous content.

Requirements

Required proven experience in a specific technical area or skill:

• 5+ years’ relevant experience
• Experience working in project/programme environments involving business and IT change
• Content design experience in financial services, government/regulatory body, technology, or consultancy (ideally IT consultancy)

Required Behavioral & Technical Skills:

• A sophisticated command of language and psychology, including the ability to write complex content for lower reading ages to improve intelligibility and accessibility
• Robust experience in writing, editing, and publishing digital content, and using content management systems and content production processes
• An understanding of different prototyping techniques and the ability to visualize content in context
• Ability to identify key stakeholders, tailor communication to their needs, and build relationships while meeting user needs
• Able to define strategies and policies and provide guidance in the strategic context, evaluating current strategies to ensure business requirements are met and exceeded
• Able to use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user research into outcomes

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of delivering government digital services in line with GDS standards
• Experience of designing for accessibility
• Business acumen in either financial services or financial regulation
