Job Description:

CBS Sports Digital is seeking a Freelance Line Producer to work with the Ft Lauderdale control room/production team to produce podcasts for CBS Sports Network. The Producer will be responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction, and working with editorial and podcast management for the content vision. Responsibilities include line producing podcast programs, coaching and mentoring show staff, discussing day-of correspondent requests with the assignment desk team, and developing innovative content for CBS Sports Digital platforms. The Producer will also work closely with CBS Sports Broadcast teams to provide on-air tie-ins to material across all CBS Sports digital platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 4-6 years of experience at a senior level
• Experience running a control room, stacking a rundown, and juggling live breaking news
• Strong writing and copy editing skills
• At least 3 years of Line Producing experience
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnights
• Ability to work under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news and additional hours with little notice
• Exceptional editorial skills
• Ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments
• Good understanding of ratings matrix within a sports digital space
