Job Description:

Wayfair is seeking talented engineers who love innovating and creating new tools. They should be enthusiastic problem solvers, passionate about programming, and have strong core fundamentals. The engineers should also be highly collaborative and willing to contribute to the full software development process. The job involves working on teams that impact customer service, sales, finance operations, talent management, and external vendors. Responsibilities include building and improving software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the growth and development of the engineering organization.

Requirements:

• Excellent team player with a passion for collaboration
• < 1-2 years of software development experience is preferred
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field graduating in Spring 2024
• Experience with full-stack and/or mobile development
• Familiarity with creating software tools and functionality, debugging code, and incorporating feedback
• Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming languages
• Strong problem-solving skills with simple abstract solutions
• Experience or exposure to SQL, Java, and Python
• Interest in working with big data and machine learning
• Experience using cloud platforms to solve problems is a plus
• Experience working in agile environments is a plus
• Autonomy and the ability to work on projects independently
• Strong communication skills

Additional Information:

• All corporate employees are expected to work in the office on designated days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and work remotely for the other two days.
