Job Description

Blizzard Entertainment’s Creative Marketing Services is looking for an experienced Social Content Creator to ideate with our Engagement team and develop industry-leading social content for our channels. If you’re a passionate World of Warcraft player, have a familiarity with the Warcraft universe, and love being on the front lines of daily social content like TikTok, X, Instagram, and more, this is the role for you! Whether you are designing and creating static images, coming up with memes, capturing in-game content, editing video related to the trends of the day, or creating longer lead interactive content, our ideal candidate must always seem to be asking, “Wouldn’t it be funny if…?”

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience in creating social content from initial concept to creative delivery
• Expert within the Warcraft universe and World of Warcraft gameplay
• Knowledge and passion for games within the MMO game category
• High levels of creativity, and demonstrated ability to generate innovative concepts, designs, and ideas. Strong conceptual skills and the ability to execute creative effectively and iterate.
• Exceptional eye for composition, contrast, and color. Comprehensive understanding of design principles and typography.
• Experience creating content for multiple social platforms including TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Reddit, and emerging channels
• General understanding of best practices, technical requirements, and specs for developing content for social media channels. Knowledge of image formats and video codecs.
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Master Suite apps. (including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc).
• Basic familiarity with game capture and repurposing in-game assets for marketing design
• Demonstrate the ability to develop meaningful content by participating in internal weekly sprints, ideating and presenting to stakeholders
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent priority shifts
• Able to work well in a collaborative team environment, and within an iterative design process
• A passion for video games, movies, graphic novels, science fiction, and other elements of pop culture

Additional Information

• Familiarity working on a PC
• Knowledge of Maya, 3Dmax, Blender, zBrush, or other 3D animation/modeling software
• Experience as a digital artist/illustrator and relevant software
• Experience in the game industry
• Experience with photography, cinematography and/or machinima
• Experience working in a mobile publishing organization

Salary Information

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
