Job Description

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Temporary Graphic Designer is responsible for working on marketing materials including brochures, POP, sales support materials, web sites, and other specialty marketing items. This is a temporary position which is expected to last approximately 18 months (until the return of the incumbent).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follows the creative objectives as set by Marketing Director.
  • Art, layout, design, production, presentation of brochures, flyers, all forms of advertising, Point of Purchase (POP) and other sales support items.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a digital archiving system.
  • Working with creative briefs to produce print-ready and digital artwork.
  • Ensuring design and production standards are met on a consistent basis.
  • Sourcing images from stock as well as providing creative direction for photography.
  • Giving art direction to external partners.
  • Supporting the team with brainstorming and design.
  • Ensuring internal and external partners adhere to brand guidelines on all internal and external communications.
  • Curating photo and video assets for social media.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MAC platform with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop, Microsoft Office. PC an asset.
  • Extremely well organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and willing to change with the environment.
  • College degree/diploma in graphics art required.
  • Training in html, web development and new media.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in Graphic Design.

Other Information

  • The Salary being offered for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year.
