Job Description:

Small but mighty digital marketing team is looking for a WordPress afficionado with a side of Shopify (or similar) knowledge and a big slice of technical SEO familiarity. Web Designer Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into functional websites
• Utilize Oxygen Builder to design and develop custom WordPress websites based on client specifications and project requirements
• Customize and modify existing WordPress themes/templates using Oxygen Builder to meet client needs
• Take ownership of design projects & execute all stages from concept to final hand-off
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, mockups and site maps
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices (SEM Rush, GA, Lighthouse)

Web Designer Qualifications/Skills:

• Proven experience working as a web designer, specifically using Oxygen Builder for WordPress
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress development
• Knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of SEO
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
• Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
• Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in a variety of formats
• Awareness of UI/UX principles
• Familiarity/experience with Shopify, WooCommerce (or other e-commerce builder) a plus
• Familiarity with project management software (such as Monday) a plus
• Digital photo editing, video editing and/or motion graphics experience a plus

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
• One to three years of professional design experience
• Thorough WordPress knowledge
• Portfolio of strong creative work
• Experience with Adobe XD, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator
• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS

Work Hours & Benefits:

For the right candidate, we will consider PT, FT or contract-for-hire. This is a hybrid position that offers a full in-office workspace and ‘travel’ equipment. Work hours are negotiable within a typical ‘corporate’ framework (core hours of M-F 9-4).

Additional Information:

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday
