Location: Memphis, TN

Contract: Temporary, Full-time

Job Description

Tate Computer Systems, Inc., is seeking a skilled WordPress developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites. This role includes both back-end and front-end development, such as implementing WordPress themes and plugins, site integration, and security updates. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working with Divisions to discuss website design and function
  • Designing and building the website front-end
  • Creating the website architecture
  • Designing and managing the website back-end, including database and server integration
  • Generating WordPress themes and plugins
  • Conducting website performance tests
  • Troubleshooting content issues
  • Conducting WordPress training with the client
  • Monitoring the performance of all production websites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field
  • Proven work experience as a WordPress developer
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
  • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Good communication skills

Additional Information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Required)

Experience: CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery: 5 years (Required), WordPress developer: 8 years (Required)

Ability to Commute: Memphis, TN 38120 (Required)

Ability to Relocate: Memphis, TN 38120 - Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person (Hybrid remote in Memphis, TN 38103)
