Job Description

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality videos for our member content, including fishing reports, highlight reels, and other projects. Responsibilities include:

• Edit footage to remove errors or unwanted content
• Ensure seamless transitions and continuity in videos
• Enhance video quality and audio adjustments for professional production
• Ensure timely posting of videos meeting required specifications
• Assist with production/recording of podcast-style videos using Restream

Requirements

Qualifications for the Video Editor role include:

• Expertise in video editing software
• Experience in posting video and audio on platforms like Vimeo, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram
• Experience with Restream and/or Hello Audio is a plus
• Experience with WordPress is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests (off camera)

Other Information

The Video Editor will be involved in editing fishing reports weekly, organizing multiple videos into one-hour content. Additionally, posting videos to Vimeo and audio to Hello Audio behind a paid wall on the website. The ideal candidate may also assist in recording fishing reports occasionally. Saltwater fishing knowledge is advantageous. This is a part-time position with pay ranging from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, with expected hours of 3 - 6 per week. A flexible schedule is available, and the work location is in Wilmington, NC 28403.
