Job Description

The Music Minister at Dutch Cove Baptist Church is responsible for planning, preparing, and leading the music ministry in worship services, coordinating closely with the Pastor and church leaders. They must recruit and develop volunteers, oversee administrative duties, and maintain a high standard of excellence and communication within the music ministry. This position reports to the Pastor.

- Must have a relationship with Jesus and strive for personal spiritual growth

- Strong sense of calling to ministry and passion for leading music ministry

- Desire to see individuals come to salvation and grow as followers of Jesus

- Burden for the spiritual welfare of church members

- Demonstrates Godly character and leads by example

- Capable vocalist and musician on a lead instrument

- Knowledge of various church music styles

- Self-motivated, organized, and able to delegate effectively

- Available for all scheduled services, practices, and rehearsals

- Ability to work cooperatively with volunteers, church leadership, and staff

- Must align with the church’s mission, vision, values, and strategy

Ministry Expectations

- Maintain positive working relationships with teams and leadership

- Must be a team player fully aligned with the church’s vision

Service Expectations

- Part-time position (approximately 15 hours per week)

- Leave must be planned in advance and approved by the Pastor

- Flexible schedule with special allowances for illness and bereavement

- Evaluation of performance on a periodic basis

- Compensation ranges from $20,000 to $25,000 per year
