Job Description

The Staff Life Specialist position at YMCA Storer Camps involves providing support to the entire Summer Camp staff and structure, participating in the planning and delivery of the summer camp program, and ensuring the health and well-being of each camper.

• Coordinate transportation for staff into town for errands during time off periods.
• Schedule recreational activities for staff during time off periods.
• Communicate with village leaders and kitchen staff for food delivery.
• Create and implement staff motivation systems.
• Assist in the setup and running of camp programs.
• Supervise and implement recreational activities, special events, and evening programs.
• Assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Provide role model support to campers and staff.
• Enforce safety and health regulations.
• Follow camp policies and rules.
• Participate in evening programs and activities.

Requirements

The Staff Life Specialist should be able to lead and participate in program activities indoors and outdoors, able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, and have vision abilities including close vision and distance vision among others. The employee should be able to move around the work environment and adapt to varying noise levels.
