We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance videographer to join our team and help produce a documentary-style series for YouTube and potential distribution to television networks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-production: Collaborate with the production team to develop concepts, storylines, and shooting schedules. Conduct research and gather information on subjects, locations, and relevant topics. Assist in planning and organizing logistics for shoots, including securing permits, equipment, and talent.
• Production: Operate professional video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio recording devices. Capture high-quality footage that aligns with the creative vision and objectives of the documentary series. Conduct on-location interviews and capture compelling B-roll footage to enhance storytelling.
• Post-production: Transfer and organize footage for editing, ensuring proper file management and storage. Collaborate with editors to review and provide input on rough cuts and final edits. Assist with color correction, audio mixing, and other post-production tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer, with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in documentary-style filmmaking.
• Proficiency in operating professional video equipment, including DSLR or cinema cameras, audio recording devices, and lighting equipment.
• Strong understanding of cinematography principles, composition, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel as needed for on-location shoots.
• Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is a plus.

• Job Type: Contract
• Pay: $20.23 - $24.36 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
• Supplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities
• Ability to Relocate: Mount Pleasant, NC - Relocate before starting work (Required)
• Work Location: In person
