Job Description:

We are looking for a creative, and technically experienced Freelance Podcast Video Editor to work with our Production team for a 3-week assignment. The ideal candidate can handle a high volume of both new creative and iterative content, is highly organized, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously. The role is remote-based in the Santa Monica area and requires expertise in Podcast editing (visual and audio) with proficiency in Adobe Premiere.

• Experience in editing long-form video and audio editing for podcasts and social assets for different platforms.
• Proficiency in Premier Pro.
• Ability to deliver edits and implement revisions on tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with Producer, Creative, and Social team members to ensure edits meet business and project objectives.
• Sound design, audio mixing, and post-production workflow expertise.
• Experience with contemporary file formats, codecs, and archival best practices.
• Communication skills, positive attitude, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in video/film production as an Editor with a focus on Podcast editing.
• Proficiency in editing software packages like Adobe Creative Suite, AVID, Final Cut Pro, etc.
• Experience with Riverside and Adobe Audition.
• Demonstrable video editing ability and a strong portfolio.
• Knowledge of audio editing and color correction techniques.
• Ability to multitask effectively and meet project deadlines.

Salary Range:

$40-50 an hour USD

Pay is based on factors like experience, education, skills, and office location. In addition to salary, IPSY offers bonuses, equity grants, and competitive benefits. Final compensation is determined by experience and skills.
