Job Description

At Tangent, you will be involved in AI projects for clients, developing solutions based on AI models and services. This includes utilizing various AI technologies such as LLMs, NLP, and Computer Vision to create value for businesses. You will be responsible for experimenting with cutting-edge approaches, supporting project delivery, generating structured data from documents, and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to develop tailored solutions.

You will also work on designing, developing, testing, and deploying machine learning and deep learning systems, preparing datasets, training models, and monitoring performance to improve AI solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have development and data science skills, proficiency in Python with frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow, experience with server-side frameworks like Flask, familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), rapid prototyping abilities, and problem-solving skills. Excellent spoken and written English is essential. Additionally, the role requires availability to work 20 hours/week during the semester and 40 hours/week during the summer.

Bonus Points

If you have hands-on experience in AI development for business, knowledge of NLP and Computer Vision, and experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JIRA, MLflow, ClearML, Amazon SageMaker, and LLM techniques like Transformers Architecture, LoRA, and QLoRA, it would be beneficial. Knowledge of semantic data models in different domains is also a plus.
