Job Description

Prospero.AI is a fintech startup that aims to democratize access to financial markets. They are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team. The role involves conducting research on stock and market data, developing predictive models, and staying up-to-date with data science and financial market trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (MS/PhD preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, Jupyter notebook, NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with traditional statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
• Ability to work remotely, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with financial datasets, stock market dynamics, and cloud-based tools (preferably GCP).
• Experience in explaining complex analytics outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

• The position is initially part-time with potential for full-time.
• The role involves collaborating with domain experts, developing predictive models, and communicating findings effectively.
• Nice-to-haves include experience with financial APIs, time series analysis, coding/scripting, NLP, web scraping, Sagemaker, and Huggingface or other cloud model platforms.
