Job Description

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating visual effects using tools such as Maya and Houdini. You will work on asset building, modeling, texturing, and some rigging. Additionally, you will develop, execute, light, render, and test comp FX, with a strong understanding of lighting/shading/texturing principles, animation, and motion.

Experience with scripting languages like Python, HScript, or MEL is a plus. Knowledge of compositing applications like Nuke and the compositing process is also beneficial. You will collaborate in a production environment, ensuring efficient workflow between various software packages.

Strong communication skills are essential in this role to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you should have:

• 3-5+ years of experience in a production environment
• Excellent knowledge of Maya; familiarity with Houdini is a bonus
• Solid asset building skills, including modeling, texturing, and some rigging
• Ability to develop, execute, light, render, and test comp FX
• Strong understanding of lighting, shading, and texturing principles and techniques
• Good understanding of animation and a keen eye for motion
• Familiarity with pipeline issues and experience in working between multiple packages
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, HScript, or MEL is advantageous
• Working knowledge of at least one compositing application, such as Nuke, and understanding of the compositing process
• Strong communication skills
