Job Description

As a full-stack engineer on the Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for building a modern application platform to host the company’s suite of microapps. You will primarily work on back-end development using NodeJS/TypeScript and collaborate with architects and designers to deliver the platform.

Requirements

- Strong JavaScript experience building backend NodeJS micro-services (TypeScript a plus)

- Experience deploying web apps or microservices with git & pipelines

- Openness to learning new technologies like React, Kubernetes, AWS, or DevOps

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team

- 3+ years of engineering experience

Nice To Haves

- Experience with AWS services like Dynamo, S3, Elasticache, EC2, IAM

- Exposure to app servers like Nginx or Apache (Open Resty & Lua a plus)

- Familiarity with Computer Networks (DNS, routing, firewalls) and OSI stack

- Comfortable with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Best Practices (e.g., Jest)

- Experience with Databases and Key/Value stores like Redis, MySql, etc.

- Knowledge of GraphQL and strong problem-solving skills

Additional Information

- Job type: Contract

- Pay: $39.23 - $50.00 per hour

- Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance

- Schedule: Monday to Friday

- Must be able to work on W2/1099

- Ability to relocate to Milwaukee, WI 53202 preferred
