Job Description

BBC Education is recruiting a digital Assistant Producer to help deliver the 500 Words 2024 competition. The role involves supporting the producer in the day-to-day running of the competition, overseeing story submissions, communicating with volunteer judges, organizing author visits to schools, and working with partners to promote the competition.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong digital skills, including proficiency in content management systems, Photoshop, and Premier Pro.
• Excellent written and verbal editorial skills.
• Experience in building relationships with internal and external partners and working with 3rd party suppliers.
• Audience-focused mindset with the ability to generate content appropriate in style and tone.

Additional Information

The role is full-time with a split between office and home working at the Salford MediaCityUK location. Freelancers can apply for an internal role if on a Worker Contract and have worked continuously for 6 months.
