Job Description

As a Digital Content Producer at ITV, you will be responsible for ensuring digital website content is produced and published at the highest level, accurate, and compliant. This includes tasks such as publishing breaking news from various regional newsrooms, collaborating with multiple newsrooms to share regional stories, making news content engaging and relevant online, and telling diverse stories that appeal to a wide range of viewers. You will also research and write content with SEO in mind and generate creative solutions for presenting content online. The role involves working on a shift pattern, including early and late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

Requirements

To qualify for the Digital Content Producer role, you should:

• Be a qualified journalist with NCTJ qualification or equivalent.
• Have a proven track record of dealing with breaking news and developing stories.
• Demonstrate experience in growing digital audiences for a daily news website.
• Have experience producing high-quality, accurate, and distinctive digital news under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Possess a solid understanding of digital publishing, including SEO best practices, social media utilization, and interpretation of Google Analytics data.
• Be a confident decision-maker with strong knowledge of media law, compliance, and excellent editorial judgment.
• Understand Ofcom’s standards for industry regulation compliance.
