Job Description

OVO, a branding agency in Portland, is seeking a passionate and skilled UI/Web Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating beautiful, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for websites and web applications. You’ll collaborate with a small team of close-knit designers, strategists, and developers to translate ideas into well-executed, functional designs that align with our brand guidelines and user needs. Your primary focus will be website design, with additional digital and social ad design responsibilities. An understanding of WordPress and Elementor is a bonus.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of agency experience
• Compelling portfolio showcasing UI/UX design and digital design capabilities

Technical Abilities

• Mastery of Sketch and/or Figma
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with specific software systems

Design and Professional Abilities

• Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong project management expertise
• Ability to mentor junior team members

Other Information

• Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for full-time)
• Compensation: $10,000 to $14,000 /month, based on experience
• Preferred Location: Portland, Oregon (Hybrid - remote Mon/Fri, in-office Tues/Wed/Thurs)
