Job Description

This is a freelance paid opportunity to travel around the country during the summer while assisting artists in creating songs. We are looking for audio engineers and songwriters who are proficient in recording vocals and mixing. The role requires proficiency in ProTools or Logic.

Tasks include having your own mobile setup with a Mac Book computer, M-Box or audio setup, microphone/mic stand, headphones, and Logic and/or Protools. Responsibilities involve basic mixing skills, recording vocals, passing a clean background check, a drug test, and possessing a valid driver’s license. Availability for regular travel during the summer and a flexible work schedule are needed for this position.

Requirements

- Proficiency in ProTools or Logic

- Own mobile setup including a Mac Book computer, M-Box or audio setup, microphone/mic stand, headphones, Logic, and/or Protools

- Basic mixing skills and ability to record vocals

- Clean background check (NO misdemeanors or felonies, NO exceptions)

- Ability to pass a drug test and possess a valid driver’s license

- Availability for travel during the summer with a flexible work schedule

- 3-5 years of experience in the field

- Competence in working with seniors and youth

Additional Information

- If you have experience in audio and videography/editing, it is considered a plus

- Payment rates: $250 for 1 day of audio work and mixing 2 songs, $350 for 2 days, $450 for 3 days, and $650 for a week of work involving 3 days of audio work, mixing 2 songs, and assisting a videographer for 2 days
