Job Description:

A client of TEKsystems is hiring for an Experience / Interaction Designer. The ideal candidate should have experience designing complex transactional systems into intuitive and valuable products. They need to be analytical thinkers who can translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into innovative designs. Strong foundation in user-centered design methods and effective communication skills with stakeholders and team members are essential. The designer should excel in a collaborative environment and have a passion for simplifying complex data and workflow problems.

The responsibilities include translating product strategy into interaction flows and final designs, owning the quality of deliverables, applying end-to-end thinking to enhance user experience, creating wireframes, prototypes, ensuring brand consistency, collaborating with technology teams, participating in design meetings, and delivering on time.

Requirements:

- 3-5+ years of design experience

- Exceptional interaction and visual design skills

- Experience designing responsive websites and applications, with native mobile app experience being a plus

- Proficiency in Sketch, knowledge of Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools is advantageous

- Familiarity with Agile environment and tools like JIRA

- Strong portfolio demonstrating commitment to user-centered design and applying brand and digital standards

Additional Information:

The role prefers candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design or related discipline, financial industry experience, knowledge of human-centered design methodologies, and rapid ideation processes like Lean XD and Design Sprints.
