Job Description
This role is within the Data Science team in Route Services, focusing on utilizing data from various sources, including IoT devices, to monitor rail operations, predict maintenance issues, and improve services for passengers and freight customers. Responsibilities include leading the implementation of statistical and machine learning methods in Cloud environments, collaborating with teams to deliver data science projects, and guiding product development workshops.
Requirements
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent experience
- Commercial exposure in Computer Vision, NLP, or Predictive Maintenance methods
- Experience in data engineering and developing machine learning algorithms in Azure Cloud
- Leadership experience in data science and coaching teams
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and R
- Knowledge of data mining frameworks (Numpy, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and SQL programming

Package Description
- Vacancy type: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Hybrid working of 2/3 days in the office
