About eBooks2go:

eBooks2go offers unique solutions to publishers and authors in the United States, India, and the Asia Pacific region. It provides services like eBook Conversion, global distribution, Royalty reporting, and e-commerce solutions. The company has its own Content Management System for selling online Print / eBook editions. For authors, it offers services such as file conversions, eBook distribution, cover designs, and marketing assistance.

About this Job:

eBooks2go, a fast-growing hybrid publisher located in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking a freelance editor experienced in Copyediting, Proofreading editing, and Developmental editing for authors’ manuscripts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of editing experience.
  • Book publishing experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, grammar, spelling, and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in The Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • High competency in Microsoft Word and Track Changes.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills to engage and motivate clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with a highly creative clientele.

Additional Information

Experience: 5 years in Copy and Proofreading editing, Developmental editing.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Setting: Remote
