Job Description:
An established Toronto boutique marketing agency is seeking an experienced, freelance WordPress web developer to assist in all aspects of the WordPress web development process. Responsibilities include project scope/direction, prototyping, design, development, testing, launching final sites, and maintaining existing client websites.
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of WordPress theme development
- Proficiency in modifying commercial themes like Divi and Elementor
- Knowledge of common WordPress plugins and troubleshooting for conflicts
- Familiarity with responsive web design and WordPress security issues
- Strong grasp of current WordPress best practices
- Ability to handle server, cPanel tasks, and backup/move WordPress websites
- Graduation from an interactive design program at a recognized college
- Portfolio of 3+ years of progressive experience with a variety of WordPress websites
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Strong creative and problem-solving abilities
Additional Information:
- Position: Part-time, Freelance
- Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
- Flexible Language Requirement: English not required
- Schedule: Day/evening/night shifts, Monday to Friday
- Work Location: Virtual
