Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Music Director to join our team. As a Music Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of music and vocals of our musical theatre program, including arranging music, conducting rehearsals, and leading performances. Requirements

Duties

• Arrange music for the Fall Mainstage Show, considering performers’ abilities and preferences
• Conduct rehearsals to ensure musicians are prepared and performing well
• Lead performances and provide guidance to musicians
• Collaborate with artistic staff for engaging performances
• Provide feedback to help musicians improve
• Collaborate with choreographers and dancers for cohesive shows
• Coordinate with technical staff for sound equipment setup

Qualifications

• Strong music background with expertise in musical theatre
• Experience in conducting musical ensembles or directing choirs
• Knowledge of various musical genres and styles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with artistic staff
• Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate musicians
• Experience in theater productions (preferred)
• Experience working with children
• Public speaking skills (a plus)

Additional Information

• Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
• Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
• Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
• Day range: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
• Grade school specialties: Visual & Performing Arts
• Shift: Day shift, Evening shift
