Job Description:

My client, a prestigious gaming organization, is seeking a Character Artist to work on AAA games. The role involves creating top-tier character art assets that meet quality and technical efficiency standards. The Character Artist will play a dynamic and integral role in the game’s development process, ensuring exceptional output while optimizing efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Character Artist in game development.
• Portfolio demonstrating a variety of technically proficient, game-ready character art assets.
• Proficiency in contemporary asset creation pipelines and tools.
• Strong eye for detail, color, value, and composition.
• Proficiency in art creation software like Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag.
• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Comfortable working within predefined art styles.
• Previous experience shipping AAA Console/PC titles as a Character Artist is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

This is an 18-month remote position with a salary ranging from £200 to £250 PAYE inside IR35. The role offers the opportunity to work for one of the Top 5 leading game studios in the industry. The successful candidate will be crafting visually striking character art assets, collaborating with outsource partners, providing innovative solutions to design briefs, and maintaining strict quality control over all artwork produced.
