Job Description:

The Center for Diversity & Inclusion (CDI) at American University is seeking an undergraduate student to serve as the CDI videographer. The role involves creating and curating content that celebrates, promotes, and enhances the CDI portfolio. This position requires collaborating with team members, understanding the campus climate, and partnering with campus partners to tell stories through video media.

Requirements:

• Must be a current American University enrolled student at full-time status
• Knowledge and understanding of filming, editing, and mixing
• Ability to work with creative teams, write, and storyboard video shoots
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and various editing platforms
• Experience in filming on set and on location, editing footage, and adding special effects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to handle recording equipment for extended periods

Other Details:

• This is a part-time, in-person position (non-hybrid) that allows up to 10 hours per week
• Salary range of $17.50 per hour
• Open to undergraduate students, preferably with Federal Work Study, enrolled in American University for the 2024-2025 academic year
• Position available exclusively to American University students
