Job Description

The Digital Content Producer at KTLA is responsible for writing, reporting, and posting news stories on KTLA.com and various social media platforms. This role involves independently curating, researching, and producing clear and concise stories that adhere to AP Style and are free of errors. The producer must prioritize important news stories, collaborate closely with the digital team, and integrate digital content with broadcast coverage. Additionally, managing video livestreams, editing video clips, and utilizing social media creatively are essential duties for this role.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should have previous experience in a local newsroom, especially in digital platforms or local television news. They must be able to respond quickly to breaking news, write and manage multiple stories throughout the day independently, and possess excellent command of the English language. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of news experience are required. Flexibility in scheduling, including working early mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays, is necessary for this role.
