Job Description

This temporary/part-time position involves working in the Community Services Division of the Pueblo Police Department as a Social Media Content Creator. The role requires planning, drafting, filming, editing, and posting social media content across various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly known as Twitter). Collaborating with internal work groups and enhancing the department’s image through creative content is also essential.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least one year of successful experience managing an organization’s social media platforms
• A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The employee should have in-depth knowledge and proficiency in various areas including office equipment, Microsoft tools, Adobe software, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X), multimedia production, graphics design, and ADA compliance. The role demands skills like content creation, writing/editing, setting priorities, multitasking, maintaining confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service.

Other Information

The position involves both sedentary office work and occasional outdoor work in loud spaces. Maintaining required licenses and certifications is crucial throughout employment.
