Job Description

- Generating creative ideas and long-term story ideas consistent with the series.

- Writing storylines that meet the editorial brief and deadlines.

- Maintaining an overview of the entire series and planning ahead.

- Collaborating with the story team, writers, and editorial department.

- Managing a story team, leading writers rooms, and story conferences.

- Coordinating scheduling, production, and editorial policy notes on storylines.

Requirements

- Experience in story editing on prime time TV dramas.

- Understanding of screenwriting and character development.

- Experience in working under pressure and generating creative ideas.

- Familiarity with BBC Drama for a family slot and financial implications of editorial decisions.

- Ability to convey intentions of producers to writers and editorial team effectively.
