Job Description
The Social Media Assistant is responsible for creating, writing, and editing content for Discover Puerto Rico’s social media efforts. The core responsibilities include adapting brand voice for social media, creating engaging content, managing community tasks, monitoring engagement, and supporting various marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, marketing, or communications
- Proficiency in writing attractive copy for social media platforms
- Experience in producing copy for advertising/marketing campaigns
- Experience in creating engaging short-form videos for social channels
- Fully bilingual in English & Spanish
- Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and social media management
- Ability to work in a diverse, inclusive, and fast-paced environment
Additional Information
Physical demands include viewing computer monitors, sitting, standing for events, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The timeframe for the position is a minimum of 6 months, and it is an in-office position in Puerto Rico. Discover Puerto Rico is an Equal Opportunity employer.
