Job Description

As the Episode Director, you will work on a 52 x 11 minute upper preschool series for Channel5/Milkshake. You will collaborate with the Series Director throughout all creative aspects and phases of production to achieve the completion of a CG Episodic TV show.

• Prepare script notes and provide feedback for storyboard artists.
• Review storyboards at various stages and ensure delivery to editorial.
• Work on animatics and oversee animation preparation.
• Review animation passes, provide feedback, and handle client feedback.
• Approve final episode retakes and ensure episode timing.
• Experience with voice talent and audio post is beneficial.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in CG animation, TV, or film.
• Prior directorial experience is a must.
• Strong storytelling skills and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and understanding of CG animation challenges.
• Experience working with overseas studios desirable.
• Report to supervising Series Director and Producer.
