Job Description

At 2020 Recordings, we are seeking a freelance audiobook editor to proof and edit audiobooks recorded at our studio and remote locations. The role involves ensuring audio content matches the script, correcting pronunciations, removing noise, adjusting narration pace, and maintaining consistency. The successful candidate will work remotely and must have a passion for audiobooks and storytelling, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in audiobooks, proficiency with editing software (preferably Pro Tools), and experience in voiceover work. Strong communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a proactive approach to work are essential. Candidates must have necessary equipment including headphones, a computer capable of running Pro Tools, and a quiet workspace.

Application Process and Training

Shortlisted candidates will undergo an editing and proofing test followed by a phone interview. Successful candidates will be asked to complete a second test, sign an NDA, and will join the weekly availability email list. Training opportunities and chances to work on other audio projects within the organization may be offered.

Other Information
