Job Description

In this role, you will work on multiple research software projects, from weeks to months in duration, anywhere in the lifecycle from conception to completion. You will work with researchers from across the University, applying cutting-edge knowledge through software design and development. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing, building, testing, deploying, documenting, and maintaining software in various domains.

Requirements

• Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, data science, web development, mobile app development, and/or high-performance computing.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including object-oriented languages like Java, C++, C#.
• Experience with industry-standard software engineering processes and tools like Git, Jira, GitHub.
• Experience in the complete software engineering lifecycle with skills in software design, testing, and maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Passion for supporting scientific research, delivering high-quality work, and excellent customer service.
