Job Description

As a Photographer at University of Michigan-Dearborn, you will be responsible for capturing and editing engaging photos to visually tell the university’s story and promote its mission, reputation, brand, and program offerings. You will work with various teams across campus and will be instrumental in engaging a wide range of audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional photography experience
• Proven ability to capture professional, engaging images
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom
• Experience working in a higher education environment preferred but not required
• Ability to capture action sports photos preferred but not required
• Strong photography skills for portraits, headshots, events, and marketing photos
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
• Service-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and a team player
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to drive to offsite locations for photo shoots in the metro Detroit area

Additional Information

• This is a one-year term position with a possibility of extension based on funding
• Work consists of 18-19 hours per week with a flexible schedule
• Hybrid work schedule with some on-campus and some remote hours
• Limited evening and weekend work may be required with advance notice
