Job Description

As a freelance product designer at Blank Street, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our digital platforms by leveraging your expertise in systems, strategic thinking, and design skills across UX and Visual to create exceptional customer experiences. You will lead the product development process from concept to implementation, design intuitive interfaces, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the design system for new feature development.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 5-7 years of experience in product design, user experience, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a multidisciplinary background in areas like psychology, computer science, or human/computer interface design
• Proven track record in leading medium-scale projects from concept to completion
• Experience creating and managing design systems, collaborating with engineers, and strong communication skills
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Principle, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Google Slides

• This is a freelance position with defined scope and timeline
• Hybrid work potential with 2-3 days in the Brooklyn office
• Required availability for virtual meetings and collaboration
• Full-time, 40-hour a week freelance position with a compensation range of $80—$120 USD per hour based on experience and project scope
