Job Description

The responsibilities for this role include translating UI/UX design wireframes into front-end web applications, translating business requirements and use cases for the development of Java-based or .Net-based applications, working closely with UI/UX designers, developing applications based on technical requirements, building reusable code and libraries, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications for this position include more than seven years of experience in complex projects with at least two years in a leadership role as a Developer, expertise in implementing HTML5, JavaScript ecosystem, CSS3, SASS, JSON, XML, Angular Routing, Reactive Forms, software design and development of enterprise-level web applications using Java and Web Services, experience securing web applications with JWT/OpenID Connect and OAuth2/Okta implementation.

Desirable qualifications include experience in implementing Spring boot, Spring Batch and other spring frameworks, using the Bootstrap Front-end Framework, validating user actions and providing responsive feedback, prior experience with synchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX, familiarity with visual studio code editor, Eclipse IDE, code versioning tools such as Git, developing non-blocking code, implementing advanced techniques such as Java multi-threading, executing unit tests using automated tests such as Junit and Mocha, integrating with web services (SOA, Microservices) with angular & Single-page Application (SPA), experience with WCAG, 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles, implementing Java-based or .Net-based applications using Microservices or Service Oriented Architecture.

Additional Information

This is a contract job with a pay rate starting from $70.00 per hour, requiring 40 hours per week of work. Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Albany, NY. Preference for 1099 or W2 status. Work location is in person.
