JOB DESCRIPTION

The Full Stack Developer role entails supporting the NYC Office of Technology and Innovation in developing the MyCity Portal to enhance public interaction with the NYC government in accessing services and benefits. The position involves collaborating on the development of data-driven applications and systems to improve customer experience and streamline business processes between agencies.

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of Java application development experience
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience in front-end and back-end application development
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, and related frameworks
• Experience with RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts and tools
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

OTHER INFORMATION

The role is a contract position for 12 months based in Brooklyn, NY, with work hours from Monday to Friday. The rate for the position is $75 per hour. The individual will work on tasks like designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications, managing APIs, implementing data models and pipelines, ensuring data security and compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Desirable skills include ETL experience, knowledge of specific databases, MDM implementation, and metadata-driven enterprise reporting platforms.
